Project 1: FAMOUS PEOPLE, FAMILIAR FACES
DIAGRAMMATIC ABSTRACTION
The objective of this project is to investigate and to explore how spaces are created from the making of architectural elements: architectonics.-solid, planes, lines and frames. In group of 5, we are given one of the Master Architects & their masterpieces which is Adolf Loos and Rufer House.
We need to identify master architects and their works ,understand basic architectural compositions of solids, planes, lines and frames and able to ‘diagram’ and analyse architectural work of Adolf Loos.

Project 2a: Introduction to Site Analysis + Observation Deck @ Cape Rachado
In group of 2, we are to design an Observation Deck (with a maximum volume of 30m3) for the purpose of observing the views. It shall include other activiies such as meditation, relaxation, etc. in which furniture and equipment must fit and be incorporated into the design. This structure should correspond to the site that we are given. Adequate access, circulation and fenestration are mandatory.

Project 2b: Retreat House @ Cape Rachado, Port Dickson
This project is to further develop our project 2a into a retreat house for a certain cleint at Cape Rachado, Port Dickson. My selected cleint is a Romantic Writer. A retreat house denotes ‘A place affording peace, quiet, privacy and security’ ….. where a romantic writer would reside for a short period of time. This retreat house must function as habitable architectural spaces to enable the activity associated with living, dining, showering, cooking, storage and such within the built up space of 150 m2. The relationship between our design and the context is also important in making the retreat unique to its landscape and activity.
