Project 2: CENTER FOR THE ELDERLY

This project required us to design an elderly center in a suburban area with some complexity that includes the complexity of site topography, vegetation and socio-cultural events.

Our given site is located in Taman Kanagapuram, along the Old Klang Road, Selangor. There is 7 elderly centers around and is surrounded by housing estates, apartments, religious facilities and low rise commercials. It is a fast developing suburban area which is considered as a suitable site for the project due to its fast growing population and its establishments as 'an old neighborhoods' where many of the aged are living in need for a center which could support their active life as well as be part of the existing community.
