Project 1- Application of Basic Building Services
Project 1 is an individual assignment which will work on the basic application of building services. Each of us are given a building floor plan to work with and we are required to propose and design appropriate systems for the building which include electrical supply system, cold water and hot water supply system, sewage and sanitary system and storm water and drainage system.
Objectives of Project
1. To develop students' understanding and knowledge of building services and its system in design and construction.
2. To apply appropriate building services systems and solution for a specific design.
3. To demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of applicability of specific building services systems in the design in response to practical considerations.
4. To develop students' ability to resolve issues related to specific building systems.

Project 2- Building Services In Public Building
Project 2 is a group project to perform an analysis on building services systems found in multi-storey buildings. In a group of 6, we are required to choose one of our group members's design scheme from Semester 4 Design Studio project which is a Center for The Elderly. We are to produce a comprehensive and informative report of the analysis of the services systems associated to the chosen building which include mechanical ventilation, air-conditioning system, fire protection system (active and passive fire protection system), mechanical transportation system (elevator and escalator/travellator systems).
Objectives of Project:
1. To introduce students to the basic principles, process and equipment of various building services systems found in buildings (experiential learning).
2. To expose students to the integration of various building services system in a building.
3. To allow students to demonstrate their understanding of building services systems.
4. To develop students' understanding and familiarity on the drawing conventions and standards for different building services systems.
