PROJECT 2: STILL RENDERING WITH MATERIALS, LIGHTS, CAMERA VIEWS WITH SITE CONTEXT
PROJECT 2A : EXTERIOR RENDERING
WORK IN PROGRESS (WIP)




1. Draw contour line in rhino and move vertically to different height.
2. Use patch tool to make the contour.
3. Import the model into 3ds max .

4. Apply daylight and choose mr sun and mr sky. Click manual to adjust the sun.




5. Choose arch and design and from the templates choose the materials eg. glass and water, apply to the objects.
The level of reflection and difuse can be adjust according to the effect we wanted to acheive.
6. To apply the materials that couldn't get from the template, go to diffuse > bitmap and select the material that we have downloaded from web and open.
7. To make the material looks more realistic, we can apply bump. Photoshop the photo of material by turn it to greyscale and adjust the contrast and brightness.
8. Go to map > bump > none > bitmap, select the photoshop photo and open.
9. Increase the number of bump to make the texture looks more vivid.


10. To make the texture of material looks more realistic, go to modifier > uvm map > box > deselect the real-world map size > change the length and width of the material.

11. Apply target camera to get the desire views.


12. Go to > Environment and effects to preview the render.
12. Go to > render production to start render.
13. Keep on adjusting the sun and camera to get a better view.
